The Paul Gaspar Family Volunteer of the Year Award
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Mankato United Soccer Club. The club counts on volunteers for field setup and teardown, tournament hosting, field maintenance, field marshals, concessions, coaches, managers, and wide range of other activities. The club honors those who serve with the Paul Gaspar Family Volunteer Award.
Award criteria:
- Commits their time and talents for the Mankato United Soccer Club.
- Commits their time and talents for greater Mankato community.
- An excellent role model for soccer players, parents, fans, other volunteers, and the greater Mankato community.
- Promotes players, teams, and the game of soccer.
- Favorable relations with other member of the soccer community.
- Has not received compensation for volunteer efforts.
- Volunteers beyond what is required by the club’s volunteer policy.
- The Volunteer of the Year may be any sex, gender, or age.
Notes:
- The award is named after Paul Gaspar who served on the board of Mankato United for years and retired as club president in 2018 and his family who were always ready to volunteer their time and talents.
- One or more recipients will be selected by the club each calendar year.
- Nominations will be sought from the club membership and the club board.
- Recipient(s) will be selected by the club board.
- Current board members of Mankato United Soccer are not eligible.
