Volunteer Policy

Each family in MUSC is required to fulfill six (6) hours of volunteer service per player (a maximum of 18 hours of volunteer service per family) for each registered U9 and older player, including U9/10 rec players, during the summer competitive season. A $150 volunteer fee is assessed to each player ($450 maximum fee per family). A volunteer year starts August 1st and ends July 31st. Families who do not plan to volunteer can pay on Play Metrics or mail a check to:

Mankato United Soccer Club

PO Box 991

Mankato, MN 56002

If the volunteer commitment is not fulfilled by July 31, a $50 late fee is charged.

Families of players on financial aid who are unable to pay the volunteer fee are expected to fulfill this commitment through (6) six hours of volunteer service. If the hours are not completed, the player becomes ineligible for the next soccer season.

Tracking Mechanism

Volunteer opportunities and hours will be tracked on Track it Forward [https://www.trackitforward.com/site/mankato-united-soccer-club']. The volunteer coordinator will approve hours after a shift is completed.

All volunteer opportunities must be in support of Mankato United Soccer Club and listed on Track it Forward. Examples of opportunities include but are not limited to: field setup and teardown, SoccerFest, field maintenance, concessions, etc. Players are encouraged to participate in working volunteer hours (players working in concessions must be 15 years of age or older). Volunteers must work the entire volunteer shift to receive credit for their time.
