Concussion and SafeSport Training
ALL COACHES AND MANAGERS MUST COMPLETE THE SAFESPORT AND CONCUSSION TRAINING.

Concussions in youth sports have taken on heightened importance. The CDC (Center for Disease Control) has implemented the Heads Up initiative to provide information on preventing, recognizing, and responding to a concussion

SafeSport training is mandatory for every adult participant within MYSA, including coaches, managers and administrators. The training covers three topics: mandatory reporting, sexual misconduct awareness education, and emotional and physical misconduct.

DIRECTIONS:
- Complete the training courses and the online quizzes.
- At the end of the course, you will be provided with a link to a certificate of completion (a pdf document). Type your name into the document.
- Save the document to your computer.
- Upload the document to PlayMetrics. After you are assigned to a team in US Soccer Connect you will also need to upload the certificates to your US Soccer Connect account.

Reimbursement Form
The club reimburses up to $1,100 for tournament costs during the spring season and $400 in the fall season. Please fill out the reimbursement form and email to treasurer@mankatounited.org.

MYSA Weather Policy
All team coaches, team managers, and referees share responsibility for understanding and following the MYSA official weather policy.
- In the days leading up to games, coaches and team managers should monitor weather conditions and communicate early with families and opposing teams if travel or safety concerns arise.
- At game time, team officials are encouraged to maintain open communication with referees regarding weather conditions. Please note that the referee has final authority on any weather-related delays, suspensions, or cancellations.
