Rec Uniform and Gear
Players may NOT wear earrings during a soccer game. So do not get your player's ears pierced just before the season starts (or during the season).
Uniform & Equipment
You want to make sure your player has the appropriate uniform and gear for the season. Players with uniforms from previous seasons may continue to use the same uniform.
Uniform:
All players need ...
- shorts
- soccer socks
- green jersey (or a plain green t-shirt)
- white jersey (or a plain white t-shirt)
- green or black shorts
To purchase an optional rec uniform package, information can be found below.
Equipment:
- Shin guards
- A size 3 soccer ball for 5/6U and 7/8U- write player’s name and a phone # on the ball.
- A size 4 soccer ball for 9/10U - write player’s name and a phone # on the ball.
- A water bottle
- Soccer cleats are optional; players may wear gym shoes

- The rec uniform package is optional.
- ITEMS ORDERED ARE CUSTOM AND ARE NON-RETURNABLE OR EXCHANGEABLE
- Stop by our retail store located at 1420 Lookout Drive in upper North Mankato to try on sample items for sizing! We are open Monday-Friday 9am-4pm.
Rec Uniform Order Rounds: Orders completed approximately 2 weeks AFTER the closing date
- Round 1: Closes February 15
- Round 2: Closes March 1
- Round 3: Closes March 15
- Round 4: Closes April 1
- Round 5 (FINAL): Close April 15
Pickup Notification:
- Our uniform vendor is United Team Elite located at 1420 Lookout Drive in North Mankato. Orders are local pick up during business hours only.
- You will receive an email from UTE when your order is ready for pickup.
Jersey ordering FAQ’s
My child plays rec league, is the uniform required?
We offer a rec uniform but it is not required. You can buy part of the kit or all of it. The basic requirements are a green and white shirt, shorts, and soccer socks.
My child plays rec league, will they need a uniform number?
No. Numbers are only assigned at the competitive level.
